Hourblast Games is an interactive media company with a goal of delivering creative and innovative free to play 3D games to social networks. We aren’t setting our sights at mass market appeal games. Instead, we pride ourselves in delivering unique and fresh games that are targeted at serious gamers who are interested in social connections.
As serious gamers ourselves, we feel there is a void in today’s social networks. We plan to fix this by using a combination of social and traditional console game development expertise. Our games will have depth, fun and addictive gameplay that is attractive to users who are interested in player-vs-player as well as singleplayer experiences.
Our first game “Dueling Blades” is a dynamic “Simultaneous Turn Strategy” RPG that features rich and detailed customizable 3D characters in fully 3D environments. Players will battle against other players as well as against the computer to progress in the immersive story. Dueling Blades is scheduled for initial release on Facebook in the spring of 2012 and other social networks shortly after.

Great News! HourBlast Games has just teamed up with 6Waves to publish Dueling Blades. This means that on the launch of Dueling Blades, there will be a lot more users playing the game, resulting in more opponents to duel in the arena! Having a large player community and some of the most experienced people in the social game industry helping us create this epic experience is a good thing. Stay Tuned for more updates to come!

After many sessions of dueling and development on the project, we have an awesome announcement!
6waves Lolapps is teaming up with us to publish Dueling Blades. You may be wondering what this means? Well, it means a few things. Some good, some awesome, some bad…but it’s mostly good. Let’s start with the awesome. On the launch of Dueling Blades, there will be a lot more users playing the game, which means more opponents to duel in the arena! Having a large player community and some of the most experienced people in the social game industry helping us create this epic experience is a good thing. As for the bad news, Dueling Blades will be slightly delayed, mostly due to additional support for Flash. With this bit of bad news comes the good. The extra time will allow us to add additional content, features and allow further testing to ensure an amazing launch. In the end, you will have an improved gameplay experience and everybody will benefit from it. Duel on!
